A designer house opens its doors for you

Being passionate from his younger age by the haute couture, Yves-Saint-Laurent created his own house in 1961. The year after, the first Yves-Saint-Laurent collection realised a victory that will never passed away. He offers woman a new clothing often inspired by men clothes, from dinner jacket to safari jacket as well as trench-coat and trouser suit.

He was worried about being able to offer his models to each woman he hasn’t hesitate to open a prêt-à-porter shop, Saint-Laurent Rive Gauche.

As an insatiable creator and innovator, he also draws suits for scenery and cinema, then he dresses the great actresses.

The designer house is located since 1974 at avenue Marceau in Paris and became a museum consecrated to its work entirely. Moving in a Helzear hotel room, the Musée Yves-Saint-Laurent nearby, you will discover more than 5 000 designs along with a lot of sketches drawing the outstanding career of the great couturier.
